[파라과이 전력청 "파라과이 정부가 비트코인 채굴 한국인 그룹에 최대 1,100 MW 판매 준비 중"]
파라과이 전력청 ANDE의 페드로 페레이라 전력청장이 6월 25일 공식 사이트를 통해 "파라과이 정부가 6개 사업체와 최대 1,100MW의 잉여 전력 공급에 대해 이야기를 나누고 있으며, 그 중 한군데는 비트코인 채굴에 전념하는 한국인 그룹"이라고 밝혔다. 지금까지 암호화폐 채굴 산업은 파라과이에서 어떠한 규제도 받지 않고 있으며, 오히려 정부가 지원하고 있는 것이 이번 발표를 통해 확인됬다. 이 기사를 통해 파라과이 정부가 공식적으로 비트퓨리(Bitfury)가 참여하고, 커먼즈 파운데이션(Commons Foundation)이 진행하는 골든구스 플랫폼(Golden Goose Platform)을 확인시켜주며, 머지않아 채굴이 시작된다는 것을 보여주었다.
